Visitors to Babcock will appreciate the wide variety of recreational facilities maintained at the park for their enjoyment. From hiking trails to paddleboats, there is something to suit most every taste.
The park recreation area features:
horseshoe pits
volleyball court
tennis court
basketball court
*A nominal fee is charged for all recreational facilites and they are open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
Paddleboats, rowboats, and canoes are available for rent at the marina at our 19-acre Boley Lake where good fishing abounds.
For swimming there is a modern pool. Our pool is closed on Mondays except for holiday Mondays.
Fishing is also available in the park's cool rushing stream.
Hiking at Babcock on the over 20 miles of trails may find you at one of many scenic overlooks. Print a park map here. Adobe Acrobat Reader required for viewing and printing.
Horseback Riding and pony rides for children are availabe at different times and lengths throughout the summer season.
Rates: One hour: $25.00 1 1/2 hour: $28.00 Two hour: $35.00 Half Day: $70.00 - (3 1/2 hours of riding plus lunch) Without lunch: $65.00

The summer park naturalist conducts nature tours, slide and movie presentations, special sport activities and get-togethers. You can also take part with young and old park visitors alike in nature interpretation programs and learn about the trees, ferns, wildflowers, and wildlife of the park.
